The Department of Justice is in search of appointing a volunteer within the Town of Oxford to serve on the Oxford Police Advisory Board.
The Oxford Police Advisory Board meets four times a year. Our board is made up of RCMP, two Council members, two community volunteer members, and one appointed from the Department of Justice. The function of the advisory board is to provide advice to council in relation to the enforcement of law, the maintenance of law and order and the prevention of crime in the municipality.
To qualify for this position the candidate must have residency in the Town of Oxford, interest, knowledge, good character, and willing to commit time and effort. The candidate must consent to criminal record and background check.
