Capital Paving of Streets Tender 2019 03
Calling all Residents!
The Cobequid Housing Authority is looking for a community representative from the Town of Oxford. The Board of Directors meets every two months at noon, mostly in Truro. Experience with working with seniors or community issues is an asset but not required. This Board deals with properties for tenant selection, evictions, transfers, and general advice on tenant matters. Staffing and financial management are not the responsibility of this group. Travel costs are paid at the Provincial mileage rate, and lunch is provided during each meeting.
If you are interested or have further questions, visit the Provincial website for all Agencies, Boards and Commissions at https://novascotia.ca/exec_council/abc/. Town Council is required to make a recommendation to the Provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for formal appointment to the Board.

At the Town Council meeting held on September 24, 2018, Council approved a Routine Access Policy. The policy provides clarification to the public, staff and Council as to what documents and information are routinely available upon request, and what other documents require review under Part XX Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy of the Municipal Government Act of Nova Scotia.
Along with approving the policy, Mayor Stewart proclaimed the week of September 24-30, 2018 as Right to Know Week, which supports the principles of openness, transparency and accountability.
